MSA’s 20X-treme Format and Payout Formula
This elimination format known as the 20X, allows men and women to shoot for bigger money within their class range. Set up: LIMITED ( levels 1,2) and Open ( levels 3,4,5) in both Men’s and Women’s divisions, making a total of 4 classes. Typically designed to accompany a main class style match, this format may also run free standing and in 2006 the 20X will be used more frequently as a “stand alone” match. With a total of three stages run, every rider will run two stages and the cumulative time for those runs decide who will come back for the last stage, and final elimination. Half of each class, up to ten, will return in the final stage. Payouts are 1 for every 3 riders (see chart below) from the beginning of the match not from the final elimination stage. (Example: If there were 15 in your class then 8 would make it to final elimination and it would pay 5 places.)
The payback is typically 50% (however, it may be
more of a percentage based on the event and the amount of entry
fee, this will be posted on the flyers) of the entry fee back
to YOUR class. If there is added money it is split equally between
the classes. Payout is 1 place for every 3 riders with a maximum
of 5 places per class.
Example:
If there are 10 people in your class with an entry fee of $150
50% of 150=$75X10=$750, this will be split 3 places.
1st=$375 2nd=$225 3rd=$150
This doesn’t reflect added money!
