MSA Brennan Scholarship

 Application

The Brennan Scholarship is being offered in memory of Ann's parents, Alphonse and Elenor Brennan. The fund was born out of MSA's desire to support the education of its membership just like Ann's parents did for their children and grandchildren.

While living on a dairy farm in central Minnesota, Ann's parents sacrificed a lot to raise their 9 children. Through those sacrifices, they were able to help provide, as best they could, financial support for their children to further their education. They realized that an education could open doors that might not otherwise be available. As a result, Ann was able to obtain a bachelors degree in nursing which lead to a successful career in clinical nursing and business.

MSA's intention for the Brennan Scholarship fund is to provide financial support to members that choose to advance their education. MSA's promise is to continue to provide that support to the next generation within the organization.

MSA rewards success by supporting our talented athletes with a leg up on their post high school education. Any current MSA member who pays tuition for educational purposes, is eligible for the annual gift.  Each interested shooter must submit a Brennan Scholarship application before the deadline of August 31, 2014.  The winner will be chosen anonymously by the Mounted Shooters of America advisory board.  The Scholarship recipient will be announced at the Mounted shooters of America World Finals during the year end award ceremony. A $5,000 payment will be made directly to the educational facility of the winner on their behalf.
